High Performance Drivers’ Education (HPDE)
Zone 9 offers many opportunities to take part in the PCA High Performance Drivers’ Education program.
For those of us who would like to go one step beyond autocrossing, there is the PCA HPDE program, which provides a controlled environment for learning about the upper edges of your and your car’s performance capabilities. PCA HPDE events take place on a closed-circuit, require a more rigorous technical inspection process, and provide PCA certified driving instructors for drivers of all levels of experience.
The Porsche Club of America offers an alternate on-track driving experience called High Performance Drivers’ Education (HPDE). The mission and purpose of the HPDE Program is to provide a safe, structured and controlled teaching and learning environment. The PCA HPDE Program is designed so the participant can improve his or her driving abilities and acquire a better understanding of vehicle dynamics and driving safety at various tracks around the country.
